White kitchens and the modern farmhouse going out of style?

Forbes' Amanda Lauren comments on what design trends she thinks may be going out of style in 2021. We are not sure that she is right about white kitchens. But she makes a valid point about open-concept living in this pandemic era.

We believe that buyers will still love the open-concept kitchen/family room/dining. We would call this a key feature with our buyers, but we would agree that having some space where children can do their e-learning or people can work comfortably from home quietly and privately are trends that will not be going away anytime soon, if ever.

For some time now, we have suggested that homes should be used as you need to use them. A dining room could be an office. That formal living room could be turned into the dining room. Why have a spare bedroom if it is used only a couple of times a year? Move that basement office to that bedroom - the sunshine will do wonders for your good health!
