With avid coffee lovers on the team we enjoy taking the time to explore and try out our local coffee shops and cafes. Here are our top picks:
At Kerr St Café one gets to enjoy their Brothers Coffee, a small batch coffee roasting team located right in Oakville. With a variety of blends and drink styles available the options our endless. However the definite favourite of Nancy’s is the classic Flat White. Located right at the heart of Kerr St, Kerr St Café is also one of our favourite spots for weekend brunch. Be sure to check online for the most up to date wait times and add yourself to the list as it’s always bumping.
Vereda Central Coffee Roasters brings fairtrade deliciousness to every cup. They take their influence directly from the coffee farmer and are dedicated to the “art of roasting”. By roasting in small quantities each cup of coffee always offers the highest quality. Looking for great coffee to roast at home? Vereda also is willing to deliver right to your door.
At the heart of Bronte, the Taste of Colombia Fair Trade Coffee Shop is a family owned café centered around Colombian culture, coffee, music and all things fair trade. Here’s your chance to try out a variety of rich blends and roasts. Also offered just next door through Lakeside yoga/Dance & Wellness, are classic South American dance classes, including Salsa, Flamenco and the Cha Cha. The hidden treasure that is Hexagon, located right in Oakville’s town square, is known for its high-end French tasting menu by night. However during the light hours of morning and afternoon they welcome patrons for luxurious coffees and lattes, as well as incredible pastries. Andrew’s favourite combination being the “wet” cappuccino, a traditional cappuccino with extra milk, and a delicious pistachio croissant.
Sitting cozy between downtown Oakville shops, Tribeca is last on our current list but definitely not least. Serving up delicious blends of Firebat Coffee, and other local small batch brews. With plenty of seats and quiet space it is a great spot to hunker down on some work or catch up with a friend.
Next Oakville spot to try for us is the Marylebone Café and Creamery, up at Dundas and Trafalgar. With a focus on masterfully blended organic Canadian coffee combined with handcrafted gelato and sundaes, sounds like a new favourite to join the list.
