As the summer winds down, buyers will get back to considering a home purchase in the Fall.
 
We are asked all of the time about the down payment required to buy a home. There are rules on this, set by the government and the banks and there are also guidelines.
 
While money is inexpensive as interest rates are low, getting a mortgage is not a given. We highly recommend that anyone considering a purchase should talk with a mortgage broker and/or a senior financial advisor at their bank prior to going out to see a home that is for sale.
